Thanks for that offer.

The plan at the moment (for me anyway) is to put up all the scans I have from Shocktropper and Mort and when that's done, then start to look for missing games and request people to scan other stuff.

Stocktropper has scaned almost all his massive collection, so that's why I have such a large backlog already. :)

You're really going stonkers on this gamebox thingy, but until I see Rescue on Fractulus and Koronis Rift, then however many games are listed without those two, I will say "50% finished"!!!!

Please, classics to the top of the list.

secondly, games where you need to have a manual to learn the game (simulations like Stealth Fighter for example)

Thirdly, games where the manual helps you to get 500% more enjoyment/excitement/involvement even if you don't need it to learn to play the game. An example of this would be "Conflict in Vietnam", way back in '85 you had grown up with the real war and then playing this game with the manual telling you first what the real armies tried, then second telling you info for playing that scenario within the game, then playing the scenario and finally reading the final part which told you what actually happened in the actual battle. The manual layout really brought the real war home to you. Playing the game without the manual would just be "another war game", but with it, an emotional history tour.

Only after the above, can the rest of the game scans can go up!

So much stuff to add, so little time (since I have actually got an IT job again after 4 years of trying / going back to college etc.!).

I think I need to outsource to some kid in India for 5c an hour or something ;-)

Ta and ta, trying to get more GB64 done. My contract is up on Friday as well so I hope to get the motivation together to do lots of web stuff over the next couple of weeks, assuming I don't get a new job... :)

Been busy the past couple of days. There are now 205 games on the site with a total of over 1600 images/scans!! But yet sooooo much more to go...

I'm thinking of doing an alternative front to the site. Instead of just having a list of the games on the front page (as is the case now), I could change it to display a small thumbnail of the front covers and the associated info below it (like on Lemon64

What do you think? I'd still have the list as an option BTW.

Yes, the idea of an alternative front for the site looks good to me, though i get used to the list option.

Thks for the great work as usual!

Over 250 games now online

Post by Iain »

Thanks for the comments and the broken link info. The image was never uploaded for some reason, but it's there now.

And in other news:

There are now over 250 games on the site, with over 3900 scans!!

Time to retrict the number of games to show per page I think. The front page is now over 250K long :-o
