Impact and Europress Impact
From issues 79 to 94, Zzap! was published by Europress Impact. Then, from issue 95 on, it was published by Impact Magazines. What was the difference? Any change in the ownership, board of administrators...

Same company, but our management decided they wanted to distance themselves from the Europress group. I remember a explanatory memo being handed around talking about a deal struck by an Impact title which resulted in an unexpected bonus for a Europress mag, and a problem a software company had with a Europress mag having a knock-on effect on one of our titles.
Of course, as the Europress Group was funding Impact at the time, this has to be seen as a questionable decision. In hindsight, I think the ex-Newsfield management weren't used to answering to a head office, and they didn't like it.
