Hey fellow zzaperoni,
when all the work is done,
we definitely should arrange a sort of zzap 107 launchparty somewhere in the UK.
I'd love to come over to celebrate the 'resurrection' of everyone's favourite mag!
Errr...we think about it when it's finished?
See ya!

Possible we could all arrange to meet and maybe launch the issue at the next Back In Time Event :-)

Don't get too jealous guys, just think of the weather we have to endure here in good ole' 'Blighty'. Glad we don't get the spiders though - MAJOR arachnophobic coming through!

Hi Guys,

I've just got back from travelling and haven't fully read up on this whole issue 107 of zzap thing.

BUT if there was to be a launch party, it would of course have to be in LUDLOW!! Now that would be amazing, imagine if it coincided with a ex reviewers get together as well..

We could probably hire out the old offices for the night, too :)

Iain, interested in doing a History Of Zzap! 64 feature for #107? Lemme know :)

Welcome back!

Hi Iain!
Welcome back! How was the states?
Nothing like good ole Europe right?
Well, you already saw that our whole Zzap-world has been turned upside-down!
Grooooovy right?
We gave quite some work hm ,reading all the messages since you left?
Btw, I hope all zzaps will be going online before 'publishing' zzap 107, since I'd REAALLLY like to finish my "scientific zzap fact files' in time for launch, and I need them all!
We'll talk to eachother later, here or at the yahoo-group.
(btw, the Irish beat Holland 1-0, NOT amused!! :>)

who is doing the cover art?

do you need anything to get this awesome project finished?

CraigG posted 07-09-2001 12:03 PM GMT     Click Here to See the Profile for CraigG  Click Here to Email CraigG
The cover art is by Oli Frey, of course! It's based on a seriously altered and fairly rare/unseen piece of art by him.

glad to hear oli is doing the cover.
when and where is it being released?
CraigG posted 07-09-2001 04:27 PM GMT     Click Here to See the Profile for CraigG  Click Here to Email CraigG
He's not doing it per se, but the art is made up of stuff he's done previously (hopefully that makes sense?)

Zzap!64 #107 doesn't have a release date yet, but it's likely to be between Decemeber 2001 and February 2002.

how about doing a section on remakes of old
c64 games?
Bazza posted 08-09-2001 11:59 PM GMT     Click Here to See the Profile for Bazza  Click Here to Email Bazza
If someone does do remakes, you've got to include "Sentry" which is a "Sentinel" remake that captures the quality of the old classic. Heaps better then that "Return of..." crap.

Remake? On what machine? "The Sentry" was the US name for "The Sentinel" now when released there. Just curious what this version is now...

Gazunta, I think I could do an updated Zzap history, I've been meaning to do one for the site, but it's on the backburner with a good few other things :)

But actually having it in a new Zzap would be a big insentive to get working on it.

Who are you BTW? Can you give me a list of whos heading this thing and working on it? In private email if you wish.

As for renting out the old offices? A bank now unfortuntly so I think the chances are very slim. I don't know what the newer old site though?...
