Can anyone please help.

I am selling my C64 along with about 50-100 top games for 30. It works. However, I am missing some kind of interface that links the tape recorder lead to the computer. Anyone know where I can buy one and how much it costs?

I also have a Amiga 1mg (100 top games) for sale. 50 if anyone is interested?

Did you really ever own or use a C64 or are you just selling one you got somewhere?
Unless you have amnesia, you'll know that Commodore tape decks had a fixed lead that attached directly to the computer which also carried the power.
What kind of tape deck can you be using???

I couldn't get a Commodore Bar o' Soap C2N when I bought my C64, so I went down to the old Newcastle Computer Shop and got a Rotronics multi-platform computer cassette deck which was a lovely cafe-creme colour... Mmmm. Anyway, the reason I bring it up is that this deck had a special cable that, I think, connected all the jack plugs (speaker, mic, remote) to the C64 cassette interface. So could this be the part that DICAN10 is looking for?

What a great story that was.

Happy new year everyone.

Paul.

The funny thing is the interface was called if I remember correctly a DC10, not dissimilar to DICAN10`s name LOL. But seriously I have not come across on in a long time, Datel or Trilogic used to sell them for around 15. I found them to be pretty unreliable because you could not pause the tape whilst loading certain games which caused load errors or multipart games you had to manually stop the tape at the right place. One parters were fine though.

So Gribbly misunderstood my question, as there is a connection.

The fact is I was an avid user of my C64 10 or so years ago and tried to set it up the other week to test but the cable from the tape recorder (yes I know it is connected!) does not fit into my C64. After some thought I realised that there was a missing part that joined the two.

Mort & PG Tips thanks for your assistance I will check out your leads (pardon the pun!), if anyone can add anything else I would be most grateful.
