Just to let you folks know, I received the pdfs from Craig today for Zzap! 107. It's looking absolutely gorgeous.

I'll give it a final proofread this week, and Craig says he'll sort everything out when he returns from holiday around the 10th Feb. All being well, it should be online by the 15th.

I'm salivating already.

Y'know, if it works out that signed copies of #107 will be given away at Back In Time I'd seriously consider flying over just for that.

Heck, I'd fly over anyway just to go to Back In Time.

Right: Here's the official low-down from me, seeing as I designed the new Zzap!

The proofs were sent to Gordo prior to me going on holiday and amended for when I got back on the 10th. However, it became obvious that the lo-res version needed quite a bit more work, including replacing *all* the reviewer heads and Rockfords. Obviously, I also had to make changes to the master.

As I had a lot of paying work on and catching up to do, I had to delay completing the new Zzap!64. (Believe me, designing a 36-page magazine on your own is no easy or quick task!)

Anyway, the good news is that Zzap!64 #107 is now totally finished. I'll be uploaded the hi-res versions via FTP today and posting a CDR with lo-res and JPEG versions to Iain today. When it finally goes on line will depend on Royal Mail and when Iain can upload the files.

All done! Woooooo! :)

BTW, if you're interested, file sizes are as follows:

lo-res: 4.8MB
hi-res: 29.4MB

However, I'd highly recommend downloading the hi-res version once it's online, as it's a lot nicer. Also, if you're thinking of printing the new Zzap! then the lo-res version will look like crap (it's okay for screen use and only really provided for people who have really slow connections, such as 33k).

Yummy :)

So let us know when the hi-res version is up. Only take a few minutes here at work :p

And I have access to a colour laser printer... hmm must check it works...

Got the CD yesterday and read most of it last night! Quite excellent I must say.

Anyway, I'll be putting the low res version online first (the pdf) just so bandwidth isn't totally killed. Although I'm putting it on two different servers to help that problem.

I've uploaded it already but haven't done the html yet, but I can imagine how much you guys want to see it so here's the url for the low res pdf version.

The high res will be up in a few more days!

Further to posts I've made elsewhere DON'T try to print this version, or the results will be shite.

Wait for the hi-res, which will follow the official launch, erm, when Iain uploads a page with the links I sent to him.

Iain--in case you read this before my email, yes, go ahead and put the links I sent you online.

Aaargh, the link doesn't work!!! Having said that, I'd rather wait for the hi-res version anyway. Those few of you that have seen it, you're all swines!!! Lucky swines at that!!! Can't wait much longer....

Anyone on the editorial team: check the Yahoo Group for some links to the other versions...

(Everyone else: these will be live when Iain updates the zzap64.co.uk site, which I imagine will be pretty soon.) :)
