Hi gang, Just doing a bit of research for fun and figured this was the obvious place to go. I'm trying to find any info on the media, materials and processes that Oli used to create his Zzap! front covers. I seem to recall reading something about his tools of the trade but I may have just imagined it (hey, it's been known to happen). If anyone could point me to an issue of Zzap! or Crash! or a webpage or something I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, ps Gordon, I tried the Thalamus Books link at The Burrow but it seems to have gone all ... well, actually it's just plain gone. |

Ant Oddly enough, there never *was* a site at Thalamus Books, but Oli's address is/was: Not that he ever replied to me ;o) -- but I was told by Warren Lapworth, who also works there, that this was his address. G |

Ah! Hence your little clue at The Burrow about the Thalamus Books site (or lack thereof). Sometimes I'm such a thickie I amaze myself! ;) Thanks for the e-mail address. Ant |

There IS an issue of Zzap!64 with an "interview" with Oli looking at his history and methods. He used airbrush techniques for the most part. I think it was issue #9 (the first Xmas with LCP and Thingie on the cover)... |

Got it in one, Mayhem. Thanks! |

He sure did great artwork. I used to collect the Eagle magazine in the 80's and 90's. Oli took over art duties on the Dan Dare strip some way through the series and it was great! I still have my Eagles somewhere in a shed :) J |

Check out the below link also, for quite an extensive bio on Oli and his work. http://www.mjwilson.demon.co.uk/crash/24/oncover.htm J |
