If anybody has tap files of the megatapes especially the one on issue 26 please email myself or Iain a copy as we are trying to compile the definitive Cd`s of all the issues which will be available sooner or later( depending on how long it take to do the final issues, misc stuff). Any takers? |

Mort, I think you'll find Megatape 26 here: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Platform/8224/zzap.html Gordon |
| Gordon |
Duh... I really should read more carefully ;) You'll find a few megatapes on that site, but not the one on issue 26... Sorry. G |

Got all those, thanks Gordon, now all I need are, ZZap sampler (tap of tape or the Revenge demo and the Gribblys demo) to complete images on tape I realised most of these are straight copies of the commercial games but with the Zzap loader on some occasions. I may try to use just the other copies of the same games on the web (but its just not the same is it :-)) |
| Mayhem |
If I ever manage to get a TAP setup going next to the PC, then I'll try doing the very first tape as a test :) And then the rest if I can heh. |

>I may try to use just the other copies of the same games on the web (but its just not the same is it :-))< That's a very good idea, though. btw, have you and/or Iain any details about this complete collection? Will it all fit on one CD? And how much will you be charging for it? Or is it all a bit soon to ask those kind of questions? G. |
| Mort |
Thanks Mayhem, Your help is appreciated as always :-) Gordon, we expect the whole lot to go on around 5 cds ! and I have not even thought of cost yet, but it should only be media, time involved etc so don`t worry they will be cheap, anyway I do not really think it would be correct to charge a lot as its not really our work :-)

Mort, I think I may be able to help you out a lot here! I have the following tapes: 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 35! I'm afraid I don't have the time to TAP them, but if you're willing to pay the P&P (or come and collect - I live in Medway!) you can take them off my hands!!! Feel free to contact me at [email protected] or [email protected]! Peter James Holl |

Thanks again Pj, I will be seeing you soon m8. This should make the job easier, now all I have to do is get the remaining files off the sampler somehow and do some taping myself . Ta |

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Samplers are evil, much better to do it using the C2N connected straight to the PC to get the best quality. I also have a prog to clean up the resulting taps as well. I'll bring over my lead and give it to you when we next meet (along with a A1200 and some disks..) No SAMPLER TAPSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! x-) |
| Mort |
Ok Iain, I`ll wait for the lead to arrive with yourself. Give me a shout when you are next free. Mort |

Mort, How about you arrange to meet me and Iain at the same time?!?!!! It'd be great to meet my counterpart from the Zzap website <GRIN> Let me know if you're interested :) Peter James Holl |

Sounds good! I'm basedin North London, he's in Tunbridge Wells, where are you? |

Hi Iain! I'm in Rochester (Kent). Mort will be contacting you in the next day or so to try and arrange a meet. Hopefully see you then :) Peter James Holl |

Mort Do you still need Zzap sampler 1 ? With Gribbly etc ? I ran a site about 7 years ago called C=64 software houses - i removed it coz all these enormous sites went around nicking my hard work. anyway - i DID make a tap of this and include it - it was on the llamasoft page i had. i have ditched the contents of that site (took it down 5 years back) but i do still have the tape and could make another tap. not sure where all this waffle has come from... email me : [email protected] if you need it. i've got some later tapes - can you tell me exactly what you need ASAP - I have a day off tomorrow and can put the time in then !! otherwise it will probably be a year... |

Just went thru a list - not sure if up to date but I should have : 1 as megatapes. cheers. i need to do this tomorrow bro ! |

Update of whats needed: Before I start a big thanks must go to MarkieBoy/Sh*tf*ce & Mayhem! and all the other sources on the task to get the megatapes online! Here is the update of what is needed now
02(CYBERNOID/HAWKEYE) Scans of cover/cassette 22 As you can see we are about half way there, so if you could scan in or have taps of any of the above please be kind and donate them. THanks again everybody for the great response so far :-) |

As Gordon said, I have on a page (http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Platform/8224/zzap.html) a good number of Zzap! megatapes. Unfortunately, they were made from an audio source (tape player connected to SoundBlaster). Fortunately, they all work (tested with VICE). I also have an XE1541 cable, so, if you ask me, I can remake them with MTAP. P.S.: in the last days, Geocities gave me some warnings about bandwidth exceeded, so I might be forced to remove them. Can anybody else host them on his/her site? For example, Iain, it would be great to have them on zzap64.co.uk! P.P.S.: Mort, megatapes 10,18,19,20,21 and relative inlays are already at zzap64.co.uk |
| Mort |
doh!!!! Sorry didn`t remember a lot of these were already on the site:-) Here is the updated list of whats needed: scans also needed for tapes or inlays if supplied outside mag. Sorry about the missinformation and thanks for all the help so far (thanks fabbo for reminding me what cassettes were already available, oh and the mtaps would be nice if you could replace the old files :-)) |

Hey Mort, a gal in Lemon's forum claims she has tapes 2,4,7 and 8. Maybe it would be good to contact her. http://www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1430 |

Thanks for the help Fabbo, but I have now got those thanks to Pj and they have been converted :-)
