l.a. story was grahpic adventure in two parts published on zzap 64 covertapes. i have been unable to find any roms for this game and would appreciate it if someone could point me in the direction of some.

Well, you won't find any roms for it, but some tape or disk images are around. Just search for L.A. Adventure (not L.A. Story). Arnold should have it.
By the way, some Zzap! megatapes are online, but not all. For example, the one with the second part of L.A. Adventure is (http://www.zzap64.co.uk/zzap88/megatape33.html), but the one with the first part is not. When will all Zzap! megatapes be online?
