Only meeeeeeee!!Sorry, but I have a feq questions on the VICE emulator that I can`t find on any FAQ anywhere! 1. Has anybody experienced a problem, either when loading or a game or whilst playing, when the screen crashes and an error message appears saying " MAIN CPU JAM at $79c9 - START MONITOR " WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN??? Is there any way to stop this happening or it just an error and means the game will not run. It happens in the middle of Black Wych and is pissing me off!!! 2. Just wondering if you can enter POKE cheats in VICE? Tried the hard and soft reset and then starting the game, but nowt! HELP! 3. And a question.........after looking on e-bay at the C64 games for sale, I was wondering what the most expensive price for a C64 game anyone has ever seen? Has anyone got an idea of which are the rare games on the C64 and how much they would expect to sell for? Cheers

1. This means that the emulated C64 has crashed :) The monitor is for analyzing the disassembly of C64 memory, if you are not interested in C64 hacking, do not use the monitor, just reset.3. Once a guy at eBay claimed he had Murder for C64 (the mysterious game reviewed in Zzap! issue 65, which seems to be disappeared from the Earth, nobody seems to have it). Another guy offered 500 German Marks (about 250 ) for it. At the end, the game was for PC, not for C64... |

1) Bad copy... there's only one working copy of the game out there on the net (well at the time I put it up, it may well have been spread since then) which was on my website. Which is currently in limbo at the moment. You interested? Stick your email address in the thread and I'll send it to you.3) Yes that was me, and yes I did pay the money over before getting the item (like you'd get it before :p ). Once the mistake was realised I did get my money back thankfully... Most expensive price for a genuine C64 item? 150 for a Narco Police cartridge. Ultima 2 complete goes for $125 easily on eBay, and MULE seems to get quite high bids for some reason. Look out for a C64 collectors article in Edge magazine very soon which I helped out on ;) |

Nice one Mayhem[email protected] Talking about expensive games - is Great Giana Sisters worth anything? I know it was pulled soon after release, but how much are original copies worth? |

My brother was hogging the PC last night, so didn't have a chance to send game. Will do tonight, just before I head off to the US for a holiday. As for GGS, I paid 15 for my original a few years back, and I believe that is roughly the going price for the game (US Gold version). It still turns up fairly often on German eBay if you want to get it there (as it was released a year earlier and never pulled). |

I think everyone is getting a bit mixed up. I said my VICE copy of Black Wych keeps crashing and Mathem said he will e-mail me a copy of it. Seems everyone thinks he was going to e-mail me Murder. |
