The Def Tribute to Zzap!64 FEEDBACK!
Moderator: Lloyd Mangram
Something very special arrived by mail today.
I've just spent the last hour sitting in my loungechair flicking through the DEF Tribute and occassionally saying "Wow!" to my wife.
Much better than proofing a PDF, let me tell you! Amazing work , Rob. Thanks so much for letting me be part of this. And thanks again for your generosity in sending these all the way to Australia.
I shall arrange for Gaz to receive his copy!

Just got an email from the Editor of the Italian magazine (Newsfield spin-off) The Games Magazine:
Nice!Hi there!
My name is Stefano Silvestri, and am the Editor in Chief of The Games
Machine. I've received your Tribute to Zzap! and just wanted to thank
you for sending us this beautiful special issue. Plus, we would all like
to thank you to have mentioned us in the last pages: yes, our October
issue will be #200 and we will surely find a place to remember our
readers our origins.
Best regards to all of you!
Stefano
Once again I emerge from beneath a massive pile of paper which makes my desk groan to bring you the world’s most amazing posts.

Finally managed to get to WH Smiths and buy a copy.
Impressed. The layouts were great and you could tell a lot of hard work, tim and effort had gone into it. The colour review of Raging Bull was nice too.
Shadow Speil was great, an overlooked classic part of Zzap in my opinion.
My only wish - not critisism - would be that the reviews could have been of games Zzap NEVER reviewed in their pages.
Maybe for the 25th anniversery eh?

WOW!
Sort of sums it up really. What a totally amazing tribute!
I still work in computer games, and I took my copy into work. People walking past my desk kept on picking it up and asking me about it. Lots of people there remember Zzap! 64 and they said the tribute really brought back memories for them.
It even gave me an opportunity to tell them about my past life as a C64 artist, which was cool.
Many thanks Rob for sending me my copy.

Of course, the chances of 108 happening are pretty remote, but it's a small possibility for some time in 2006. Maybe.
note:
Terribly sorry Craig and fellow Zzaperoni, I thought I was quoting this post, but then it turned out I was editing it, and couldn't go back to the original post -extremely sorry!

Reminds me of that Godfather III scene when Al Pacino shouted:CraigGrannell wrote:Of course, the chances of 108 happening are pretty remote, but it's a small possibility for some time in 2006. Maybe.
"...just as I want to step out, they pull me back in!" (IIRC)
There seems no escaping Craig!
