Wauuuuugh, Iaaaaaain!
When my memory seems to be offline (although sometimes I THINK it's online, but it's off ), I ALWAYS use the zzapbible, but when I typed in 'boulderdash' nothing came out! So I concluded that it was never reviewed!
So, did we stumble upon a 'leak' in the database?

Once again I emerge from beneath a massive pile of paper which makes my desk groan to bring you the world’s most amazing posts.

In another post I was moaning about softwarehouse Durell,
so later on I started looking in the zzapbible for durell games, but
I do miss one of their games!
Thanatos! I'm 100% sure it wa reviewed, but it's not in the zzapbible.
Wots zzapening?

Hi folks,
I'm not saying Craig is wrong. It's just that the zzapbible doesn't seem to
be 100% complete
I'll go and check Boulderdash & Thanatos on Mort's cd's.
btw, where's Mort? On vacation or something?

From the Zzap! bible on this very site:
Boulderdash I / Boulderdash II / Prism / 96% / ish 30 / p106
http://www.zzap64.co.uk/cgi-bin/display ... 0&page=106
And, yes, it was the first month where budget games were shoe-horned into about five pages. Odd how things changed near the end, with budget games getting two pages each!

As Craig says!
Sometimes it's a good idea to use wildcards (%) around the games when searching
Doing a search for "boulderdash" returned zero
BUT doing a search for "boulderdash%" returned around 3 reviews.
Let me know how you get on with the other game.
I did go through every issue to verify the Zzapbible but it is still possible of course that I might have missed something.

...aargh...major brain leak...perhaps I should get this thing of me 'ead!
So me wrong again about Boulderdash hm?
Well, I was wrong about Thanatos too!
I was confused with another mag I saw the review in, tsk, tsk.
I'd better get back to work...
(mumble, mumble)
quite confusing though, these 'wildcards'

Techno Tea boy doesn't change into anything else at the moment. It's the only one I've added so far!! x-) Just going through suggestions to make up a full ranking system.
Jim had a good idea regarding the review medals. I think they would make nice icons to go until the text ranks.
What would be next after Techno Teaboy then? Lloyd's Slave? or staff writer?

Nice ones. And I like Glancey's Glasses, too (though Paul has much more fashionable ones these days, and they were better than the ones I had at the time -- Reactolite Rapide Cretin Specials). Anyway, some more suggestions:Mayhem wrote:Well let's see...
Techno Teaboy = Gary Liddon
Ozone Depleter = Gary Penn
Joystick Guru = Jaz Rignall
Zzap!64 Emperor = Lloyd
Anyone care to throw some more in (PG, Gordo, PK etc)?
- Joystick *Juggler* was a Zzap! cliche, from what I remember, so that might be a good one.
- Scorelord's Slave
- Ken's Fishy Friend
- Thing (has a nice ring to it )
- Pantomime Horse
- White Wizard
Actually, thinking about it, some of the characters from the mag -- like Old Whitey or the Scorelord -- would do nicely... Bags not being Philippa Irving, though.
Over to you, Iain.
