Just watched a great BBC documentary / film from 2009 available on You Tube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXBxV6-zamM
Basically, it's about the formation and rivalry between Sinclair and Acorn and the boom and bust of British micros.
Not too sure how completely factually accurate it is, but it's very good.
I feel a bit guilty about getting a Commodore computer now!

There are a lot of facts in there (the argument in the pub, the Acorn team only getting their machine working on the day of the visit) but it's very much a dramatic interpretation rather than the truth.

It was great to pause the newspaper / magazine close ups and then read the bits of the articles.
That's what started my search for Personal Computer News, it would be great to read the news pages from that period.
Only page they seem to be is
http://www.acornelectron.co.uk/c-dvd.html#pcn so I'll have to check that it's still a going concern (e.g. their PCN website is down) and get the DVD.
